Club Champs culminates in Skins Event

One of the more unusual events to take place at the club are the Skins. The Skins event is an exciting series of races which operate on a knockout basis, with the two remaining swimmers racing each other head to head in the final race. The 6 fastest swimmers from the 100IM event are chosen to swim. The stroke to be swum is decided at random by a blind draw from a bag. The swimmer knocked out in the previous round chooses the next stroke. This years was particularly unusual as all but one of the girls strokes was drawn as fly and all of the boys strokes were breaststroke. Congratulations to Harry Wagner and Lauren Watt for taking Top place in the event, Ignacio Larghero was 2nd and Harry Saunders was 3rd for the boys while Gemma Booth 2nd with Charlie Davis 3rd for the Girls.
