Ipswich Open Meeting
Newmarket Swim Club were out in force at the Ipswich Open Meeting on Sunday. Overall there were 28 personal bests which produced 7 Gold,9 Silver and 9 Bronze medals.
The 100 individual medley saw pb's for Raven Dodsworth, Jack Saunders, Harry Saunders, Thomas Allison, Elsie Pooley,Georgina Stokes, and Gemma Booth. Gold, Silver and Bronze went to Tess Wesley, Joseph Bavey and Henry Newell respectively.
The 100 Backstroke produced Gold for Maeve Pooley and Joseph Bavey with Phillipa Allison gaining a pb.
The 50 Freestyle saw pb's for Spyros Mantis, Thomas Allison and Gemma Booth. There were Silver medals for Tess Wesley, Joseph Bavey and Henry Newell.
In the 50 Fly, Tess Wesley again won Gold, along with Joseph Bavey. There were pb's for Raven Dodsworth, Spyros Mantis, Gemma Booth and Ella McGonigle.
The 100 Breaststroke saw Bronze and a pb from Alex Swarbrick plus Gold from Tess Wesley and pb's from Gemma Booth and Ciara Gill-Ryan.
100 Freestyle saw a host of good swims, with Silver and bronze from Tess Wesley and Maeve Pooley, Silver for Henry Newell and Bronze for Zak Baldwin and Harry Saunders. Gemma Booth and Ciara Gill-Ryan chipped in with pb's.
In the 50 Back, there was silver for Joseph Bavey and Maeve Pooley, while Henry Newell and Tess Wesley took bronze. Gemma Booth and Thomas Allison gained bronze.
The 50 Breaststroke again reapted reward. Tess Wesley took another Gold, Harry Saunders took bronze and there were pb's for Alex Swarbrick, Harry Saunders, Maeve Pooley, Gemma Booth and Tess Wesley.
In the 100 Fly, Tess Wesley took Gold once more and Ciara Gill-Ryan bronze. Zak Baldwin gained a fine pb.
