County Report week two

Another brilliant weekend was had by all Newmarket swimmers.
We again had a good representation in the finals with a total of 35 swimmers over 6 events they were;

Lauren Watt, Gold for 100m B/c, 50m Br/s & 100m F/c and Silver 50m B/c. Joseph Bavey, Gold 50m F/c & 50m Fly, Maeve Pooley, 100m B/c Bronze and a Regional time & Sliver in the 100m F/c, Henry Newell, Gold 50m F/c, Miriam Stratfold, 50m Br/s Bronze and her first Regional time, Tess Wesley, Bronze in the 50m Br/s & 50m B/c, Harry Wagner Silver 100m Br/s & Ignacio Laghero, Bronze 50m Fly and Gold in the 50m F/c which also gave him the Suffolk County Champion with a very large Trophy.
Medals also gained in the 200m events were: - Lauren Watt, Gold in the 200m Br/s & 200m I/M, Joseph Bavey, Gold 400m I/M, 200m B/c & 200 F/c, Henry Newell, Silver 200m B/c & Bronze 200m F/c, Miriam Stratfold, Silver 200m Br/s, Tess Wesley, Gold 200m Br/s & Silver 200m I/M, Thomas Allison, Bronze 400m I/M & a Regional time & Bronze 200m F/c, Romilly Marks, Bronze 200m Fly & Etholle Marks, 200m Fly.
Other Regional time were gained for Zak Baldwin, , Tess Wesley, Maeve Pooley & Harry Saunders. Other swimmers who also swam very well were Katie Cameron, Karl Heider, Spyros Mantis, Thomas Deaton, Raven Dodsworth, Ella McGonigle & Joseph McGonigle, Joshua Passey , Georgina Stokes, Beatrice Gibbs, Alex Swarbick, Ella Dunham, Ruby Davis, Charlie Davis, Ciara Gill-Ryan, Elsie Pooley, Gemma Booth Jack Saunders & Cameron Beavis.


We will have another great day on Sunday 26th February with Lauren Watt & Ignacio Laghero both competing in the Freestyle Skins; we also have the 400m F/c & Relays. I would like to thank all our swimmers for their good behaviour and for clearing up after themselves, and a big thank you to all our parents in white, Nicki Saunders & Emma Wesley for help on poolside and all the supporting parents and family members and Ruby Davis for their great support and encouragement for all our swimmers.
