Excellent start at County Championships

A very successful day was enjoyed by all the Newmarket swimmers who qualified for the long distance county championships at Norwich on Saturday. Great swims from all 12 swimmers, Maeve, Tess, Megan, Etholle, Ruby, Charlie & Lauren doing the 800m F/c & Joseph, Zak, Henry, Harry S & Thomas A in the 1500m F/c. Ruby started with an 18 second PB and finished 9th, Maeve did a 13 second PB and gained Gold, Etholle got a 2 sec PB and 6th, Megan had a 3 second Pb and finished 10th, Tess no PB but gained Gold, Charlie finished 6th & Lauren had a 3 sec PB and Bronze, for the boys Zak did a 49 second PB and finished 4th, Joseph 23 second PB and Bronze, Henry did 66 second PB and got Bronze, Harry S got a 4 sec PB and 9th & Thomas A had a 13 sec PB and Bronze. We are now looking forward to the short dstance events at Ipswich across 3 weekends in February, where we have 38 swimmers representing the club, this is a great achievement for Newmarket.


Suffolk County Champions


Lauren is now the Suffolk County Champion in the 100m I/M, 50m, 100m & 200m Breaststroke and Nezz has regained his 50m F/c title. more
