Fitting reward for Pauls efforts

Last Saturday Paul Bowman was presented with the 2015 East Region volunteer of the year award, this is a great achievement and recognises Pauls commitment to Newmarket , the county and the region as a volunteer over the past 25 years Paul has been a volunteer at our club since his daughter Gemma was a member and has helped the club in many ways, in positions such as teacher, team manager, official, Swim 21 coordinator, committee member and county representative. Paul has also officiated at many county and regional competitions. He is a qualified level 1 teacher and Judge Level 2 Starter. You will see him poolside teaching our younger swimmers on a Wednesday evening. Sylvia, Pauls wife, has also supported the club over the same period and has been our Treasurer for many years. The award was presented by the East Region president Gerry Metcalf at the East Regions Annual Council Meeting Well done Paul from everyone involved at Newmarket
