Robin Hood Open Meet

Newmarket Swim Club were strongly represented at the Robin Hood Open at Ponds Forge Sheffield on 1st and 2nd October. Head Coach Annette Skeet was delighted with the medal haul of 19 Gold, 14 Silver & 14 Bronze Medals, we also came away with 21 Regional times. They were Joseph Bavey 6 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze and 7 out of 8 regional times, Ignacio Laghero 5 Gold out of 5 events and 5 Regional times, Lauren Watt 3 Gold, 5 Silver and 3 Regional times, Henry Newell 2 Gold, 2 Silver and 4 Regional times, Thomas Allison 1 Gold, 3 Silver and 1 Bronze and a Regional time in the 100m Fly, Ciara Gill-Ryan 1 Silver, 1 Bronze and 1 Regional time for the 50m Fly, Maeve 1 Gold & 1 Silver, Tess Wessley1 Gold & 1 Bronze, Miriam Stotfold a Silver, Charlie Davis a Silver & 3 Bronze, Harry Saunders 4 Bronze, Romilly Marks 2 Bronze and Zak Baldwin a Bronze. The Coach also thanked the parents of swimmers who were representing the club as officials and poolside helpers at the event.

I think this may be our biggest medal haul to date, 90 in total after a truly great weekend at the Milton Keynes Open Meet
