Super Smith set record for masters

Six of Newmarket master swimmers competed for Team Anglia at the East Region Masters competition held at their home pool. This competition brings in the best of the region and surrounding areas. The day got off to a flyer with Livvii Curtin winning gold in the 400 free and this set the tone with medals coming from all the swimmers. Jane Smith then finished the day off with setting an East Region Masters Record in the 50-54yrs age group for the 200 Individual Medley with a superb 9 second PB. All of the six swimmers achieved medals and PBs. This competition is a great lead up to the National Short Course Masters at the end of October in Sheffield. Results: Livvii Curtin 2 golds & 1 silver, Jane Smith 2 golds & 1 silver, Jo Yardy 1 gold & 2 bronze, Ashley Buck 2 golds, Pete Winter 1 gold & 1 silver, Matt Reynolds 1 bronze.
